For years, I’ve used recipes from Christine Ferber’s book, “Mes Confitures“. You may recall, Christine was on my television show some years ago making jam with me and promoting her book. Christine is a talented pastry chef with a passion for preserves. I’ve just looked up the recipe in my copy of Mes Confitures and am puzzled by the quantity of pumpkin.

My book states: A scant 3 pound (kg) pumpkin or 2 1/4 pounds (g) net Your recipe rightly states that g is 1 1/2 lbs. There is something funny going on here.
